Every appointment starts with listening. A clinic hearing test is free, takes about 45 to 60 minutes and needs no referral for anyone aged 12 or over. If wax is in the way we clear it by microsuction first, so the result is honest.
When hearing aids would help, we quote in writing after the test. Aids start from fully covered basic PRSI models when you qualify, with advanced models from €350 per aid after the PRSI grant (€850 before). Aftercare, a four-year warranty and a 60-day money-back period are included with new fittings.

No referral is needed for adults. You can book an appointment directly with any HearMed clinic for a free hearing assessment or ear wax removal.
A full hearing test takes about 45 to 60 minutes. We examine your ears with otoscopy, test your hearing in a quiet clinic room, and explain the audiogram results clearly on the day.
Ear wax removal is €60 in clinic. Home wax removal is €100. All wax removal is performed with microsuction by a qualified clinician.
