East Galway patients who prefer O’Flaherty’s Pharmacy in Athenry Shopping Centre for scheduled testing and aid conversations on the fortnightly Wednesday rota.
Urgent reprogramming between those Wednesdays can move to Portumna’s weekday clinic.
What happens at O’Flaherty’s Pharmacy
Book the free hearing test first. If aids are appropriate, we cover styles, PRSI Treatment Benefit and a written quote in the pharmacy clinic space.
Confirm the next second-Wednesday date when you call; the Athenry rota is not weekly.

Pricing approach
Hearing aids start from fully covered basic PRSI models. The PRSI you have already paid can cover the full cost of both ears if you qualify. More advanced models from €350 per aid after the PRSI grant (€850 per aid before the grant).
